The Brussel Sprout. They seem to linger in the fridge, long after Christmas. I had an idea to get a dramatic shot of a sprout sliced in half, showing the delicate layers of leaves, but with the lenses I have, I couldn't get close enough. So instead I went for the whole sprout, on the reflective black tiled work surface in my kitchen, with the flashlight of my mobile phone lighting it from the side. The actual image was a little too over exposed, but that was difficult to detect on the LCD screen on the camera, so I reduced the exposure by two stops in photoshop.
