19Oct2013: Photo 292 - October 2013
The whole purpose of the trip to the New Forest was to find a pig roaming around, eating acorns (to prevent the ponies from eating so many). Much to my great delight, this huge sow was not difficult to spot and she took a rest from eating to pose for me. That's what I thought, but shortly after taking this photo, she turned towards me, crossed the road and came trotting in my direction snorting all the while. I was stood in a little stream, in a ditch, and had I not legged it, the pig's snout would have been level with my face as she came onto my side of the road. I didn't risk it, and quickly turned and avoided being her next meal! If you look carefully, you can see in her right eye that she has spotted me...
