Week 10, day 2: The cheeks are tiled
08th July 2014
The flashing continued to be put up today, a time consuming job that involves cutting the lead at perfect angles so that it slots into the holes in the wall. It now goes down the back wall as well now as well as the front.
Photos 1 and 2: The flashing now goes over the apex of the roof, and over the other side.

Photos 3 and 4: Also today, more work was done on the front dormer, with the triangle of chipboard being added to the top, and the cheeks on the side being tiled with flat tiles.

Photo 5: After a two week holiday my parents seemed keen to visit to see the progress. The light on the top of the scaffolding in the late evening as the sun is going down is awesome!
