Week 15, day 1: Plastering prep

Today was the first day that the two plasterers and their labourer came to join the party. The day was spent prepping - prepping walls for plaster, and removing artex from ceilings.
Photo 1: The box room ceiling was the first room on the plastering agenda. We had emptied it by moving my computer into the bedroom and most of the boxes into the newly boarded loft. The ceiling was de-artexed, a job I am so, so glad I didn't have to help with, and the walls were prepared for plastering tomorrow.
Photo 2: The second room to be done was bedroom 2 - which we also emptied over the weekend. It is all ready for plastering tomorrow now.
Photo 3: My new temporary desk area in bedroom 1. It would be better with electricity, but you can't have everything. It is quite cosy.
Photo 4: The biggest de-artexing job of them all - the ceiling downstairs. They did an excellent job of clearing the mess up - I'm glad I didn't see it.
