Week 2, day 2: Off with the rafters, up with the blocks

Today the heavy concrete blocks continued to be laid down, to the damp proof layer, ready for another inspection. The blocks that were supporting the wall previously, were peeled off (hard work I imagine!) so that the new block work can come all the way up.

Photos 2 and 3: In addition, and I somehow didn't notice this at first, the rafters were taken off and are now on the lawn. How on earth am I going to mow the lawn now?? In another two weeks, the grass will be knee high, with bald spots!
