Week 5, day 3: We have a floor!

If you ever want to know what the weather is doing or going to do, ask our builder. He knew it would pour with rain today so planned a day under the tarpaulin, laying the floor down. They spent the morning doing that, and then in the afternoon cut the remaining pieces of wood for the roof. We were under instructions not to move any of the wood - it is in a special order apparently.
Photo 1: The view across the new extension, from back to front. The dormer window frame at the front is pretty much complete now I think. We think they will add more of the cross beams (they probably have a more technical name) tomorrow.
Photo 2: The view across from the front to the back. The dormer window at the back should be finished off tomorrow, so that it matches the front one.
