Week 9, day 4: Half the roof is on

The plasterer came to lend a hand today, to get the rest of the roof felted and battened down. They worked very well and had that done by 1.30pm, which left time to start laying the roof tiles on. Another surprise to come home to! Much of the front of the roof is now tiled.
Photo 1: From inside, it is a bit darker now that there are tiles on the front - this is the back of the roof's felt and battens.
Photos 2-4: We went up onto the second storey of the scaffolding to have a closer inspection of the tiling. Great to see it coming together! But I don't think I could work at that height every day (without a safety harness)...
