Week2, day 5: The joists are now hanging

Photo 1: Today was the day that the first floor joists went in - big step I think. Especially as we can now see where the en suite is going to start and finish. Here's hoping the measurements are good! Unfortunately the celotext insulation for the floor did not arrive early enough for the floor to be finished, but that will be done first thing next week.
Photos 2 and 3: The front garden is choc-a-bloc full of bricks, wood, the skip and insulation. I'm struggling to recall what it was like to be able to park on the drive! Although we don't often hope plants not to survive, we are secretly hoping the grass doesn't fare to well under the bricks so it can be replaced - and at the same time, the ants nests can be treated!
