I've wanted to take a photograph like this for ages, so finally gave it a go. I conceded to having assistance with it, after struggling to cope with holding the light above the glass, pouring the liquid and simultaneously clicking the shutter... After a few attempts, we snapped this one - and its better than I had thought we'd get. I kept saying "I want it to slosh", and that's exactly what it is doing here. A faster shutter speed may be better - I'll have another go later in the year.

I am disappointed with the wall behind as it is a bit distracting, so I added a blur in Photoshop. It was the first time I'd used this and although I do like the effect, I think I will need to work on how to soften the boundary because it seems a bit too harsh.
