23Mar2013: Photo 82

After buying a super warm coat, I've been able to get out this weekend, in the freezing temperatures, to practice my photography. This shelter is in Lily Hill Park, Bracknell Forest, and I had it in mind to use to practice HDR technique again. You take 3 or more photos at different exposures (one good exposure, one too bright and one too dark), and then merge them in photoshop. You are able to make all kinds of adjustments until the dark areas are not too dark and the brighter areas are not burned out, at the same time greatly increasing the contrast and texture.
I think the detail in this final image is great, and overall it has an eerie sense about it, which is just what I was aiming for, for this building deep in the woods.
