View from Bayard's Cove, Dartmouth to Kingswear. This cannon is part of the memorial to commemorate the departure of the Pilgrim Fathers in the Mayflower in 1620. I wanted to get a photo looking along the cannon, with the houses on the hillside in Kingswear in the background. I used a small aperture (f/16) to keep the village identifiable, but still in soft focus, to keep perspective. With a larger aperture, and a completely blurred background, the image just didn't work.
