I wanted to photograph an apple, with a lot of contrast, and a recognisable shadow, and this photo was the closest that I achieved. I added some sepia tinting, but kept a lot of the red colour for the apple. Perhaps a different background would have made the image better; I can't put my finger on it, but there is something not quite perfect with it.
