Stunning view of Marseille's Old Port, from the church of Notre Dame de la Garde. The church stands atop a hill, so that the 10m high statue of the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus can guard over the city. It is lovely how the houses are all white, with orange roof tiles, that contrast magnificently with the blue sky and sea. With the cloud shaded area towards the background, it shows how much the Sun enhances colour in photographs magnificently.
