This is a lavender flower taken from above with the largest aperture possible. The flowers have grown on very long stems, and this has allowed the background to be completely out of focus. It wasn't what I expected, but I rather like it. Although the purple colour contrasted with the green background, the flowers were much more prominent when the image was converted to monochrome. It is very simple, and in our busy lives, it is good to study simple images every now and again, to calm the mind and relax the body.
