Three years passed since my orchid last flowered. I persevered with the rather uninspiring plant without any flowers for all this time, to be rewarded with possibly the biggest orchid flowers I've ever seen. Unfortunately the top of the flower branch had a problem, and there are only three flowers. Regardless, I wanted to capture them in all their glory - and I really like how the petals seem to glimmer in the light in the photograph. I'm not sure how long the flowers will last, or how long until it will next flower, but today, at this moment in time, it is beautiful.
