As we are in the middle of a Summer heat wave at the moment, I've noticed that bananas are ripening much, much faster than usual. It made me think that the spots on the skin are really quite strange - why do the perfectly round spots appear as it ripens? Whatever the reason, the spots make bananas more photogenic.
